What Matters Most.

Thanksgiving went by in a blink! Did you think about what you are thankful for? No? Well, sometimes we don’t appreciate the little things in life— the fact we can see, read, walk, talk, listen, etc. These are the things that we overlook every single day, which is particularly bizarre considering we do them every day! So be thankful, not only for the big things but for the little things because it makes a difference.

Another thing to remember is that Thanksgiving isn’t a holiday dedicated to food (although, it does play a major part in our excitement). Thanksgiving is our chance to figure out which parts of our lives are important to us and then give thanks for that certain blessing. Let’s face it, we hardly ever take the time to think about every single gift we’ve received from God so Thanksgiving plays as the perfect reminder.

And of course, don’t forget to thank the man who blessed us with everything we have: God! He gives us so much more than what we need and He continues to love us unconditionally. Thank and praise the Lord!

We hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving, brothers and sisters!
Appreciate your family, enjoy the food, and give thanks in prayer because you have both.

Most Gracious God,

We are sorry if we have turned against you and if we have given in to the world’s temptations. We are sorry for not giving you our whole hearts and for not loving others the way You love us. We are sorry for forgetting who we were meant to be and for wasting our time pretending to be someone we’re not.

But we would also like to thank You for being who You are. Thank You for constantly giving us another chance to make the better decision and to be better people, Lord. Thank You for our everyday blessings. Thank You for giving us our wonderful friends and especially for our unconditional loving family. Thank You for trusting us enough to give us obstacles because You know that we are strong enough to go through it. Thank You, Lord, for everything.

We lift up anything that is not of You, Lord. We lift up anyone who is currently struggling in their hardships. We lift up any burdens that we may hold in our hearts that prevent us from fully giving ourselves to You, loving Savior. We lift up the great loads of hard work that we maintain that stress us out. We lift up our doubts and our fears. We lift everything up to You, amazing God, and leave it at Your cross.

Amen.
